Ikenotaira Onsen Alpenblick: wide slopes for learners and park riders

Resorts · 池の平温泉アルペンブリックスキー場 · Checked Oct 2026 for 2026–27

One of the widest slopes in Japan, a gentle lower half for learning, and a big terrain park.

Ikenotaira Onsen Alpenblick (池の平温泉アルペンブリック) sits below Mt Myoko between Akakura and Suginohara. The operator describes it as having some of the widest slopes in Japan, with a 4 km cruise and views of Mt Myoko and Lake Nojiri.

Myoko Tourism describes two parts: a central area with a long, wide slope whose lower half is gentle and good for learning, and the Alpenblick side with shorter runs, more ungroomed snow and tree areas. It is also known for its terrain park.

Personally I'd suggest Ikenotaira for a family with first-timers: the wide lower slope is easy to learn on and the Kids Garden keeps the little ones busy.
